 Tagging link Tagging System

We use a UPC tagging system at our sale.  Simply enter the link above and begin entering your items.  You can start and stop the tagging process at any time.  Your information will be saved on the system.  It will save you time if you organize your items by type and size.  During the tagging process you will be able to choose to discount an item on Saturday and/or to donate it after the sale.

Printing Tags

Tags must be printed on white paper, medium weight cardstock. (please no off-white or pastel paper).  White paper tends to sell out of local stores around the time of our sale so please shop ahead!  Keep in mind that items without tags cannot be sold so please make sure the paper you select can withstand a lot of handling.

Please be sure your print quality is very good.  Our barcode scanners cannot read smudged or broken lines in the barcode.  If you are having trouble with your print quality or do not have a printer, please email us at clothesdoor@comcast.net. CCD reserves the right to not accept your items if your barcodes are not printed clearly.

Tips for Tagging

shirt with tag

  • CLOTHING - Hang clothing on wire hangers or inexpensive children's hangers with the hanger facing to the left and pin tags to the right with safety pins as shown.  Pants should be attached to the hanger with safety pins not folded over the hanger.  You may be able to get free hangers from drycleaners and some department stores. Sorry, we no longer have hangers available.
  • TAGGING GUN - Tagging guns or basting guns may be purchased inexpensively online.  If you use a gun, please insert the needle into the tag of the clothing or some other inconspicuous location as not to damage the item.  You may use safety pins instead.
  • TOYS - Be sure you have all parts of the toy.  Place small items in a plastic bag, tape the top closed and securely tape the bag to the toy.  We cannot sell toys with missing parts so please make sure all items are nearly impossible for little ones to remove at the sale.
  • BOOKS - Books may be placed inside ziploc bags with the tag securely attached.  You may also tape the tag on the front of the book.
  • Electronic items must have batteries.  We suggest buying inexpensive batteries at a dollar store.
  • All items must be clean and in good working order.  We will not accept items with stains, pet hair, holes, missing parts, etc.  All items are inspected at check-in to assure the quality of our sale.
  • Consignors can bring no more than 5 pairs of shoes in good-excellent condition.  Make sure shoes are securely attached either in bags or by tying the laces.

  • Boys' and girls' clothing size preemie to 20

Tips for Pricing

  • You set the price of your items.  Price based on the brand, quality of the item, and its condition.
  • A good guide is 1/4 of the price you originally paid.
  • Appearance matters.  Items that are cleaned and pressed with all items securely attach sell better.
  • Items should be priced over $2.00 and in $.50 increments after that.
