About Us

Clothes the Closet Door! LLC was incorporated in 2005. We
are three busy moms with a total of 11 children. The idea of
opening a consignment business came after two members,
Amy Warren and Carla Maranto-Arnold moved to Carlisle
from the south where both had experience shopping and
selling at consignment events. We missed the annual events
which helped us clean out our closets, make some money, and
stock our kids’ closets for the next size and season.

Amy and Carla met Kathleen Schwartz through the many
children’s activities she taught in Carlisle. A friendship
ensued and we quickly discovered that Kathleen had literally
grown up in the consignment business...her mother owned a
consignment shop for nearly 17 years. It seemed a perfect
match and thus Clothes the Closet Door! LLC was formed.

In October 2006 Kathleen moved to Ohio. She continues to
return to Carlisle for our twice a year events and CCD is
now making plans to expand our sales in fall 2009!

We are extremely pleased with the success of our events.
We try to promote a bright, clean and fun environment
where everyone wins—consignors get to earn money on their
items while shoppers get to go home with great bargains. It
is recycling at its best!
